I’m a full Licensed English-speaking tour guide- working full-time since 2010
Our story of Hanoi Guide Smile
I have run a few tour businesses since 2012: Eco Tours, Vietnam Package Tours, and Indochina Package tours to Laos, and Cambodia as well but there is no business for tour guide service.
Also, after years of working as a tour guide, business owner, and sales and marketing position in a travel business, I found that lots of people do the same thing: classic tours, Halong Bay cruise tour, Sapa tours, Ninh Binh tours, taking tourists to the same places and eating in the same restaurants with pretty much the same food. It’s boring, actually.
I want to offer unique, personalized, and local experiences combined with city highlights by taking your travel off the beaten tracks and some of the famous tourist attractions. That’s why Hanoi Guide Smile is founded in July 2023. It’s a new business but the founder, Nam, has served thousands of visitors from 5 continents over the past 12 years
I arrange private day tours and multi-days tour in and around the North of Vietnam: Hanoi, Ninh Binh, Halong Bay/ Bai Tu Long Bay/ Lan Ha Bay, Cat Ba island, Mai Chau, Pu Luong, Sapa and some remote regions in the North of Vietnam for all travel styles from classic highlight tours to off-the-beaten-track tours.
I also work as a tour leader to travel with you across the country and to Laos, Cambodia and Thailand.
I have done a couple of multi-country tours since 2019.

ABOUT ME
✦ I’m 100% VIET. I was born and raised in Hanoi but live in a rural village about 1.5 drive from Hanoi. I decided to left Hanoi after 20 years of living in the city after having my first child.
I have a wide range of knowledge about Vietnamese culture, way of living, local spots, tourist attractions, food, etc. I have made over 20 travel itineraries for the North of Vietnam, which covers the major sites in and round Hanoi, such as history, culture, markets, off-the-beaten track, heritage sites, Vietnamese food, or a combination of everything in a day trip.
I only offer private custom tours in Hanoi, North Vietnam and the entire country with flexible itineraries for each group, based on what you love to do. Your activities and things to do based on your preferences and you will travel at your own pace and focus on things that you would love to do. That’s why I am here to help.
✦ I will get back to you as soon as possible within 12 hours. All emails will be sent personally from me. Most of the time, I will be the tour guide and I can decide everything at once, flexible to change the itinerary. I don’t need to text the tour office and wait for their answers if there is trouble. I’m more than happy to provide you with insider tips and helpful advice from a REAL LOCAL before your trip. I also check my availability on your tour date.

What food we serve
- Suppose you are traveling on a budget or love eating authentic local food. In that case, we offer meals at local eateries, street food stalls or local restaurant level with Airconditioning so you can save lots of cash and eat signature dishes of the destination.
- If you expect the tourist restaurant level to try as many dishes as possible. There is a ton of choices for tourist-standard restaurants each location.
- Fine dining or high-end restaurants is available on tours if you request. Of course, the price will be much higher than a casual restaurant.
What kind of accommodation do I offer ?
I offer all kinds of accommodation from the budget, standard to luxury and high end. The price ranges from 25 USD to 500 USD so you have various choices based on your budget.
Which vehicle do we use?
Based on your group size, we provide suitable means of transport as following
From 1 to 2 guests: SUV 4 seaters car with 03 medium sized luggage
From 3 to 4 guests : Sedan 7 seaters car with 05 medium-sized luggage
From 5 to 9 guests: 16 seaters mini bus with 09 medium-sized luggage.
From 10 – 16 guests: 17 seaters shuttle limousine bus with 20 medium-sized luggage.
From 17 to 30 guests : 45 seaters bus with 40 medium-sized luggage.
