What are the tour style is suitable for me?

Does the tour require physical health?
Do you want to sit back and relax on the beach to enjoy some fresh coconut juice? We do have trips for that. Do you want to hike up on the mountain to challenge yourself? We do offer that trip as well.
To check what type of tours are right for you, we do give guidance about the physical level when you send us tour inquiries.
Does Hanoi Guide Smile offer Hanoi Family trips?
We do offer Hanoi family trips for families with kids. We do understand that travelling with kids isn’t easy, especially with infants, tollers or young kids. Each destination or tour, we get advice from our experts about the minimum ages to enjoy activities.
Even if you are travelling with groups of friends or co-workers, it doesn’t mean you have to join the tours with others since we offer private guided tours. However, if you request to save the cost, some of the day trips would be seat-in-coach tours.
Is it flexible to change the itinerary before and during the trip?
That’s what we are doing right now for our clients. You can add more days, skip places that you don’t like, start the tour from other location. One more advantage point, I will be your guide, so when changes happen, you don’t need to text or call the operator for that. Just talk to me directly to make changes.

Is it safe to travel solo in Vietnam?
Vietnam is a safe country solo traveller. So no big deal.
How do I save the cost?
We can give you options to choose from : just the guiding services and transfer or full tour package.
Room type
We offer various options for rooms to choose from based on your group size and interest: Single room, double room, triple room, quad room or apartments.
For special request like room with a Balcony, windows. bungalows etc. Please feel free to contact us
Do you cater vegan or vegetarian?
Yes, we do. Please inform us in advance to arrange local eateries or restaurants that serves your food.
Do food and drink included in the tour price?
Lunch is usually included. If you want to eat all meals on your own, feel free to let us know. Drink is excluded as always.
Can I drink water in the tap?
No. We don’t suggest drinking tap water but brushing your teeth is fine.
Of course, you should book your international flights, internal flights, and accommodations.
I will provide you with all single details when dealing the tour with you including tour itinerary, things to brings, note and tour price.
Please let me know as soon as possible : 4 days ahead for day trips, 10 days ahead for multiday trips and 3 weeks ahead for Vietnam package tours.
How do I cancel the tour?
Please get in touch with us as soon as possible. Please read the cancellation policy to avoid any disappointment.
Do I get a full refund when canceling the tour?
Please read our cancellation policies as follows.
For day tours, cancel 4 days before the tour date : full refund. From 3 days to the departure date: No refund
For Multiday short trips from 2 to 4 days, Cancel 10 days in advance, full refund is applied
For Vienam package tour, cancel 45 days before the tour date : full refund.
45 days to 30 days : 70% of deposit is refund
30 days to 20 days : 50% of the deposit
19 days to your arrival date : No Refund
Do I need to make a deposit?
For day trips, we require 50 USD to secure your spot.
For multi-day trips, we require 100 USD to secure your spot.
For a Vietnam package tour, 20% of the tour price is required for deposit to reserve your spot.
The balance will be made on the first tour date in cach in USD, EURO or Vietnam Dong.
Can I get a refund if I get a mental health problem?
We are so sorry to hear that. Please get in touch with us for the best solution.
Can you help with arranging the visa or urgent evisa?
Yes, we can. But we recommend doing the visa on your own to save money. If you are not able to do it on your own or need urgent visa, I am happy to help. For urgent visa, inform us around 4 days in advance for the best arrangement.
Do you offer airport pick up?
Yes, we do. Please provide us with your flight information including : route, flight number, estimated arrival time and arrival airport.
Can I have some free days during the tour to relax and do my own things?
Yes, you can. Please inform us your request when dealing the tour
Do you provide a list of accommodations?
For multiday tours and package tour, we do offer a list of accommodation for reference
Is the room with airconditioning?
Most of the time but some of the cool place in Sapa, air conditioning isn’t availab.e
Is Wi-Fi coverage in Vietnam?
You can use wifi in cafes, restaurants, bars, hotels. Almost everywhere
Can I buy a local sim card with an internet package plan?
Yes, you can get one at the arrival airport
What type of transport do we take on tour?
Depending on your group size, we offer suitable means of transport
1- 2 passengers : 4 seaters car (Sedan)
3 -4 passengers : 7 seaters car (SUV)
5 to 9 passengers : 16 seaters minibus
10 to 17 passengers : Shuttle bus (17 to 29 seats)
18 passengers to 30 passengers : 45 seats coach bus
How much money should I bring for a day trip?
It depends on your group size. For a couple, 40 USD should be enough for tipping the tour guide and driver, plus personal expenses and drinks.
Which currency should I bring?
EURO and USD is the most common foreign currency. However, you can bring AUD,SGD, JPY etc. to exchange at gold shops
